“…Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and strength belong to our God forever and ever! Amen.” Revelation 7:12
It is Thanksgiving Day! Somehow, amongst the hustle and bustle of traveling to unite with our families, grocery shopping and cooking, we innately know that we should pause and give thanks to God for His goodness in our lives. The holiday’s name itself reminds us that we should be giving thanks.
As we gather with family and friends, we are thankful for them being in our lives. As we shop for those traditional or non-traditional meals that will be prepared, we are thankful that we can purchase groceries. As we stand in long lines at the airport, we are thankful we can afford to travel. As we sit in traffic trying to get out of the city, we are thankful for transportation. All these things we should be thankful for daily, but on Thanksgiving Day our sense of giving thanks is heightened even the more. That is a good thing. “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord…” Psalm 91:2
In giving thanks, we tend to focus on what we can see, touch and feel; but our greatest gratitude should be for the unseen: our God, our Redeemer and our Helper! He is the source of all that we can see, touch and feel. If there is anything in our lives to be thankful for, it is a direct result of God’s goodness and His great love for us. So, while we are thankful for the things and people in our lives, above all of that be ever thankful and grateful for being counted as one of God’s children. We have the privilege of calling Him “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6 What an honor, and for that, we particularly give thanks.
Happy Thanksgiving! Continued peace and blessings!

Amen, Amen and Amen! Thank you for the reminder that the real treasure we are searching for is in the unseen realm of Faith! We are so used to being ruled by the things that we see and hear that we often forget that it is in the evidence of things not seen that our treasure truly lies. THANK YOU!
I am so very grateful and thankful for all things big and small in my life even those things that I have not yet received. I am thankful for just having a mind that desires to please God in every way and always keep a meditation of His love for me in my heart daily as a reminder that I am His child and He is my provider. AMEN!!!
I am so thankful for you my Sister! Thank you again for this awesome word! Love you!
