Yet you, Lord, are our Father.
Isaiah 64:8
Happy Father’s Day to the best Father we could possibly have. He is a loving and patient Father. (Yet the Lord will command His lovingkindness in the day time… Psalm 42:8). He demonstrates His love through His care for us. Before the very start of our lives, He was with us. (Before I formed you in the womb I knew you… Jeremiah 1:5). When we refused to acknowledge Him, He was still there quietly waiting for us to turn to Him. Although we sometimes rejected Him and didn’t want Him near us; during those times He would stand on the periphery of our lives and watch over us from a distance, because we are His children. (…there they will be called children of the living God. Romans 9:26).
Our Father does not try to make us fit into a mold. He made each of us to be unique. (…for I am Your unique creation… Psalm 139:14). He knows each of us and He considers who we are and how He made us and He leads us accordingly. (The Lord gazes down upon mankind from heaven where He lives. He has made their hearts and closely watches everything they do. Psalm 33:13-15).
He is a master teacher. There is nothing we cannot ask Him. He not only answers our questions, He also teaches through demonstrations. (Call unto me, and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you know not. Jeremiah 33:3)
Our Father is true to His Word. (Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my Words shall not pass away. Matthew 24:35). When He promises us something, He will fulfill His promise to us. (For all the promises of God in Him are yes, and in Him Amen… 2 Corinthians 1:20).
God’s promise to all His children is that He will never leave us or abandon us. He will be with us forever. (I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Matthew 28:20). He promises that nothing will be able to separate us from His love. (For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38-39).
Thankful and grateful to be called His son. (For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Romans 8:14).
How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! How great is the sum of them! Psalm 139:17
